Artist's Description
This is the hardest working hand on the floor during a trip back in the hole. He stacks the chain round the collar of the base pipe then after the next section is stabbed into that collar he flips a slack loop up onto the stand and spins it up.The tongs are simultaneously lifted into position and grip the pipe to torque it up.
the whole sequence is called making a connection.
